Again a selection from the same 2 vineyards around the Kasteelberg and Riebeeksrivier areas used in the last 4 vintages. Extremely low yields gives this wine a very unique tannin only found on the schist soils around the Kasteelberg. 
 
Fermented and matured in well seasoned 225 French oak in this vintage for 10 months before the wine was completely dry and then racked and bottled with minimal filtration.
 
Like always a lovely nose of yellow fruit, citrus and hay backed by lovely acidity and a dry, pithy almost bitter finish so typical of old vine chenin from the Swartland. Certainly the most ageworthy bottling of all our white wines and cellaring for 3-5 years is highly recommended
